Here are some of the questions that are often made about Odd School. If you have any other questions that you need clarification on, don’t hesitate to contact the Odd School Secretary.


Where are the School’s facilities?

The Odd School facilities are in Lisbon, Portugal, at Rua Braamcamp nº 84 1250-096 Lisboa. 

What are the school’s opening hours?

We are open from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm. 
Odd School's programs are on from 9 am to 6 pm and Foundations take place between 9 am and 11 pm, depending on whether they are regular or after work.

What do I need to do to sign up?

Contact Odd School office via email, phone or Skype and make an appointment to visit the school. At that time you can sign up.

How do the Programs work?

The Programs operate from Monday to Friday in full time, from 9 am to 6 pm. They last for 1 or 2 years depending on the area you choose.

How long are the School’s Programs?

The duration of the Programs varies between 1 and 2 years, depending on the program you choose.

What is the difference between Foundations and Programs?

Foundations are courses that vary between 40 hours and 120 hours. With Foundations you acquire the minimum requirements to attend Odd Programs. The Programs are advanced courses and enable you to enter the job market anywhere in the world, within the various areas that Odd offers. Those are Concept Art, 3D Modelling & Texturing (3DSMax), 3D Modelling & Texturing (Houdini), 3D Animation, and Motion.

What is the course of a Program?

A path, at Odd School, is the path you have to take to enter a Program, and each Program has its own path. 
Concept Art: Drawing → Photoshop → Zbrush 
3D Art (3DSMax): Drawing → Photoshop → 3DSMax → Zbrush 
3D Animation: Drawing → Photoshop → Maya → After Effects 
Motion: Drawing → Photoshop → Cinema 4D → After Effects 

Are Odd School courses certified?

All Odd School Foundations and Programs earn a certificate.

Do I have to take an exam to enter school?

No. You have an interview with the course coordinator. 
If you think you have qualifications equivalent to the Foundations on your course, you can ask to take an equivalency exam. The school gives you that equivalence if your final score is above 75%.

Is school completion mandatory?

Yes. Odd School only accepts students with complete school education.

Are students easily placed in the job market?

Yes. Odd School has an employability rate above 60%.

What courses does the school offer?

Odd School offers a set of Foundation courses that are required to join Odd Programs, but which you are free to take without that goal and just for personal and professional enrichment. 
Foundations: 3DS Max, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Drawing, Traditional Sculpture, Script for cinema and animation, Houdini, Maya, Modelling and Rendering for Architecture, Photoshop, Project for Pitching, Rigging, Storyboard, ToonBoom Harmony, Vray, Zbrush . 
Programs: 3DModeling & Texturing, 3D Animation, Concept Art, Motion.

What dates do courses start on?

Programs start in September / October. Foundations run throughout the year, with a minimum number of students and subject to approval.

What are the requirements for entering the school?

You must have completed school or equivalent.

How long does it take before I know if I have been accepted?

The process is quick, make an appointment with the course coordinator and the answer is immediate.

What is the price of the courses?

The prices for Foundations and Programs are on the Odd School’s website, however the school offers some discounts on the Programs. Contact the school’s office for more information.

Are there scholarships at school?

No. The school does not offer scholarships, however, in addition to some discounts on the Programs, the school offers payment facilities. Contact the school’s office and present your case. 

Are there any discounts on school courses?

Yes. The school has discounts on Programs. Contact the Odd School’s secretary and get the details.

Can I visit the school?

You can visit the school whenever you want. Odd School is delighted to welcome you and show you around. Contact the secretary and schedule your day.

Can I apply online?

No. Odd School follows each student's process personally. Registration is done in person, at the premises.

How many students per class are accepted?

Odd School usually offers personalized and close teaching, so the maximum number of students per class is 12.
